Special Support for CCW Instructors
Did you know that one of our largest groups of students is current CCW Instructors? There are many reasons for this. First, you can spend five or more years getting certified in certain States, then find out you also need the "Big Four" for reciprocity (Florida, Utah, Arizona, Nevada), which can take years longer. Next, you find out your business is much smaller than you had hoped, as CCW is a VERY small part of all Firearms Instruction!
To add insult to injury, Obama has promised VPC a national no carry law within the first quarter of his tenure, and will be able to easily do so if he gets in with both houses in a majority. If that happens, all CCW courses and regs will be trumped at the State level by Federal law, as the second amendment gives the right to own, but not to carry, and carry could take 10 years to get to the Supreme Court, which may be entirely Left by then.
This will basically shut down all CCW programs and instructors at the State level. Even McCain is specifically anti gun in several areas, promising renewal of the "assault" ban, new gun show restrictions via background checks, and additional Federal CCW requirements, such as an LE background requirement for all CCW holders. We're praying that Palin moderates him on these views, but that assumes they will get in, and that she will have that much influence!
